Location is approximate by default.
People nearby might see:
- your general area
- approximate distance
- shared interests
They will NOT see your exact location unless you choose to share it.
You control:
- when you appear
- who can see you
- how precise your location is
You can also become invisible at any time.
SHARED INTERESTS ONLY
People only see what you have in common.
Not your entire profile.
Not your entire personality.
Just enough context to start a real interaction.
SOCIALS STAY PRIVATE
Connecting socials is optional.
Connecting Instagram, LinkedIn, or other accounts is entirely your choice.
Your socials remain hidden unless:
- you choose to reveal them
- or both people agree to share more information
Hangalt is not built around followers, content, or status.
MUTUALS & CONTACTS
Trust through shared connections.
If you allow contact matching, Hangalt can show mutual connections already using the app.
We never expose your full contact list.
We do not notify people automatically.
We only use secure matching to improve trust and safety.
REPORTING & BLOCKING
You can leave any interaction instantly.
If someone behaves inappropriately, you can:
- report them
- block them
- leave any interaction instantly
Users with repeated reports lose visibility or access.
DATA
No selling. No public exposure.
We do not sell your data.
We do not publicly expose your contact information.
We do not build advertising profiles.
Hangalt is intentionally designed to reduce endless scrolling, fake attention, and performative social behavior.
The goal is simple: meet people, do things, go outside.
